How We Support Caregivers

Caregivers need resources and care, too. From CPR demonstrations to health screenings, the Caring for the Caregiver Expo is proud to offer support and relaxation to any and all caregivers!

Caregivers will receive health and mental health information, free fitness and workout sessions including Aerobics, Yoga, Meditation, Line Dancing and free health screenings.

Caregivers will find local business owners and creatives to support. Jewelry, clothing, and more. Each expo features a unique mix of vendors representing the hosting city.

Chair Massage

Chair Massage focuses on the high- tension areas of the body; the head, neck, arms, back, legs, and feet. Chair massage is performed on a specially designed portable massage chair. This massage is done fully clothed.

Infrared lamps, which use electromagnetic radiation, warm your body directly.

Paraffin Hand Wax

Paraffin Hand Wax is a petroleum-based paraffin wax is used in salons and spas to soften and soothe skin, most often on the hands and feet, and sometimes on arms and legs. Your hands are submerged in the warm liquid wax of a paraffin hand spa, and the wax then hardens slightly on your skin and is removed after a few minutes. The paraffin wax helps deep-moisturize and condition the skin on your hands, and your nails and cuticles. Do not use paraffin wax if you have: Sensitive skin- poor blood circulation – diabetes numbness in your hands or feet - any rashes or open sores.

Ear Candling

Ear Candling involves ear candles (also called ear cones or auricular candles) hollow tubes that are approximately 10 inches long. After the procedure is finished, a brown waxy substance, believed by ear candling practitioners to be a mixture of ear wax, debris, and bacteria, is left in the candle stub.

Aromatherapy

The Annual Caring for the Caregiver Expo's are focused on protecting the health and well being of our Caregivers, First Responders, Staff, Sponsors, Exhibitors and Volunteers.  We are putting efforts in place for Social Distancing, Sanitizing, Mask and gloves in order to host the Annual Caring for the Caregiver Expo's if needed.  We are working with the Ohio Sickle Cell and Health Association, The Black Nurses Association, our venue's and following the guidelines of the State of Ohio Governors office and the Ohio Health Department to insure the safety for all guests in attendance.  Thank you!
